Sr. Scientist, BioPharma Protein Purification Process Development
You will be responsible for
providing Scientific expertise towards the development of novel
downstream protein purification processes for the generation of
monoclonal antibody and recombinant protein therapeutic products.
You will be directly responsible
for downstream protein purification process development activities
derived from mammalian cell culture ranging from recovery, filtration,
centrifugation, precipitation, chromatography, and viral clearance. You
will also be responsible for Design of Experiment (DOE) and utilizing
technologies including continuous flow centrifugation, tangential flow
filtration (TFF), AKTA, Unicorn software, and UF/DF operations. You
will also be responsible for contributing to CMC regulatory filings and
documentation in accordance to cGMP compliance.
Preferred Candidate Background and Expertise:
* Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Scientific/Engineering field.
* 4+ years of BioPharma, BioPharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry experience.
* Strong Scientific and Engineering
expertise developing novel downstream protein purification processes
for the generation of monoclonal antibody and recombinant protein
therapeutic products.
* Hands-on expertise engineering
and operating downstream processing equipment including filtration,
chromatography skids, TFF, AKTA, UNICORN and HPLC systems.
* Expertise with protein analytical
and assay development techniques including HPLC, HPSEC, affinity
chromatography, hydrophobic interaction (HIC), ion exchange (IEX),
reversed phase chromatography (RP) and size exclusion (SEC).
* Experience characterizing process parameters utilizing statistical DOE techniques.
* Expertise working within cGMP compliance and providing GMP documentation.
